I built this life with my own hands But I still fall short of my own demands Kept my eyes on the stars rather than ahead But the heavens are worthless if you end up dead I'm looking for a lady to help me home So I'm not left with a lone tombstone Going to fly my flag, going to leave the quay And I won't look back 'til we're lost at sea Come with me, come sailing Across the ocean Let's leave what we left behind Come sailing, across the sea

This EP has been a long term labour of love. Writing on some of these tracks started in approximately 2012, including another four or five tracks that didn't end up being the right fit for this release. Many of these tracks were recorded as they were being written, with very little going back to record pickups later, including Pavement Rain, Honeycomb and Let Go which were each improvised as they were being recorded and appear exactly as the tracks were laid down.

All parts were recorded or orchestrated between 2012-2014, and all recording took place on either a Macbook Pro 2012 internal mic & 3.5mm jack line in, directly into Apple's Garageband, or on an iPhone 4 internal mic. The EP then sat on an external drive for the past four years, and in 2018 I exported each instrument stem and reimported them into Cockos' Reaper, to do a mix and master for this release.

Some tracks on this EP are licensed under a CC BY 3.0 AU license, which allows you to share, remix and build upon the material including in commercial projects, so long as appropriate credit is provided, and you can credit me as following: 'Liz Duck-Chong, 2018 - www.lizduckchong.com'. This license applies to the tracks 'Pavement Rain', 'Dusk Anthem', 'Honeycomb', and 'Buildings Have Roots'. All rights are reserved for the tracks 'Let Go' and 'Across The Sea'.

All cover art by Liz. All photos taken in Tasmania between 2010-2014, in houses and on roads that are close to my heart, and that I have visited many, many times over.

Recorded and produced in Australia between 2012-2018.
